AWWWW.....poor little guy. Keep us updated and let us know how it goes.
Nobody has ever seen this on a tang? I need some help diagnosing and treating. Please help :/
My guess would be a form of HLLE cause by enviromental or diet defficiences. All tangs must receive a large amount of marine algae/Nori supplemented in their diet. Everyones suggestions here are what I would do. soak food in selcon or in vitachem and be patient
great thank you rsjakp! I guess I may be a little over concerned! I hate seeing him like that.
Is he acting "normal" and more importantly is he eating? if he is eating normal then most fish have great healing qualities. that is why you should use the vitamin supplement and garlic to help with that process.
yes he is acting normal other than yesterday, I did notice him trying to hide for a bit and then he would come out a be active. Swims by the powerheads and swims against the current. He has been eating well.
I moved him into a qt for the time being just in case someone was picking on him. I will monitor him there.
This looks like sorta what my vlaminan tang is starting to get. I have lost 3 fish this week and still trying to figure it out.
Maybe a fungus?
this is my Tang Shot taken in 2006
A steady diet of Nori and speralina
this is him a year ago I think. But he is doing really well
flake, Nori feedings are really important
