Has anyone here shipped live corals over night? I think USPS is the cheapest but I am not sure if they allow it

USPS is far too unreliable to ship live animals overnight.

Lots of people ship coral overnight all the time. It might depend on the area and your local workers to some extent but I've heard Fedex is a common courier to use, ship overnight, make sure the coral is in some tank water and double/triple bagged and in an insulated styrofoam box that is packaged solidly and that the bag with the coral is packed tightly in the box so it can't bounce around.

In the spring and fall, I used to ship zoanthids in paper towels dipped in tank water in a styrofoam box.

I also ship stuff dry and wet paper with this type of coral and we used 2nd day as well you just have to keep them cool or warm enough out of prime shipping season weather . would cut Styrofoam liners to fit in a USPS priority boxes . I had a guy here to get his lost and even the montipora and acropora made it just fine I paid for over night but they arrived 2nd day ): Never did get a refund ..

I have shipped a ton of zoas and some I have shipped 2 day and they have been fine. Most of the time though, I overnight everything. I like fed ex personally for shipping over night. The last usps shipment I made was a day late. Everything survived but the buyer wasn't too happy so I refunded his shipping. So to answer your question, go with fed ex
