Seeing "Bump" on a reply thread

    I have seen so many threads with a bump in it a half hour after it was asked because its a give me an answer. I have also seen bump for its been a few days can anyone help. The bump becuse im impaitient is annoying and should be bumped out of the threads but the hey bump because ive got 200 views and not one answer deserves a bump.

    Whenever I see 'bump' I get this image of a matronly african-american woman with a large behind winding up and 'bumping' the post back to the top of the forum... like a scene out of Big Momma's House or something.

    I would not consider it obnoxious
    I would say that - many people check the unanswered posts section on a regular basis (at least once per day) and try and help with any posts that have not been replied to

    so if someone bumps their own post - then it will not appear in the unanswered posts section

    so sometimes a little patience is a good idea
