SeaWater, premixed water at LFS?

    I'd make your own, that way its you that crashes your tank and not some LFS idiot;)

    Could be, if its premixed with rodi water I would think it would have nothing but salt and water but if its "purified" seawater it should be bio loaded. My LFS claims its seawater comes from a marine aqua center so its live.

    Water does not hold enough nutrifying bacteria to contribute anything of benefit to the tank. If they are using "live water" as a promotional promise or to making it more appealing than it's just a gimmick.

    I was at a lfs about a month ago and there was a guy buying a new 150g as his first tank. The salesman said he wouldn't have a cycle because they had cycled water.

    He did talk it up a bit but also told me I would still need to do a standard cycle. I paid. 75/gal, am I being taken?
