How should i set up my tank for my seahorses to breed?????????
They will breed well in pretty much any standard species only seahorse tank. The thing you need to get worked out is the tank the babies will grow up in.
in tank refugium.....and i cant exactly sexually differientize mine.....any tips on doing that
I hear underbelly fin...but
The male has the pouch and gives birth to the fry produced in the pouch from eggs transferred from the female.
Some seahorses produce year long, as long as conditions suit them, others produce only "in season" for their particular species.
One condition required for many species is to have a tall tank so they can do their egg transfer.
Breeding isn't normally the problem; keeping the fry alive can be, depending on what species you are keeping.
The best information available on seahorse keeping can be found at seahorse.org.
you prob want a taller tank than a longer one
are we talking about the 10g tank with fake plants?
What size tank are you using, what temperature, what species of seahorses, how many seahorses?
