I think I'm being pretty realistic here, despite having had a Four Loko for the first time haha. I can't imagine it being a problem, except in that super-unlikely scenario, especially since there's now pics of sand-sifting crabs that look exactly like this from another source.

Hahaha four loko... Watch yourself, energy drink plus alcohol is a wicked combo!

OP, nice find! Let us know how it turns out. If he does a good job I may hop on down and 'harvest' me some at my beach! Haha

This was the point I was trying to make...

The "sandcrabs" you are seeing on the reefs2go are caught in Florida. The "sandcrabs" that you are collecting are from the the pacific ocean. Only problem I would see with keeping the collected ones. My amphipod tank didn't have a heater so, something you may want to consider if you plan on keeping a bunch of these.

Blackraven, is this considered a "super unlikely scenario"?

Well, Sunday we went to get some NSW and decided to get some more. Withing like 2-3 mins we got 5 small one .5" and one 1,5-2". Today is tue and so far so good, I can see a big 1 moving under SB, and sometimes couple of small ones got out for a swim for a few min. My heater is always off, It stay 76-80 degrees all the time. The problem is I will not know if some will die under the sand. And yeah that 1 from FL have better chance to survive I believe, but mine are free.
