Ok so i already have sand in my aquarium from the freshwater but when i switch over to marine can i leave the same sand in and add a little live sand or all new sand

Its playground sand, im goin with some live rock as well and dry rock but there wont be any fish in the tank until the middle of july because im waiting until i come home from vacation so there will hopefully be time for the LR and LS to seed the dry rock a bit

I would say you'd be better off just investing in new sand, no point in risking it all. IMO

Unless you cleaned the sand that was in it, new is what you'd be looking for.
