Not going to do that. I am pretty strongly inclined against drilling holes in the bottom of a tank that are not surrounded by either a dry area or overflow. If one of the bulkheads crack or seals break, etc., you have to drain the entire tank to fix.

So there is an offer out on the house, but the owner doesn't like the people who offered and we're going to put in a higher offer tomorrow if the preliminary inspection we're doing comes off clean.

    Crossing my fingers.

After we move in to the new place we'll put it on the market.

Still waiting to hear a response on our offer, but we're not going to let the house go so we'll bid up if we need to.

Went over to the house today and measured stuff out, etc. Between the kitchen and living room I've got about 1200 square feet (36' x 32.5'), but I've got to have a short wall through part of the middle so it's not going to be all open.

I did a preliminary layout and I don't think I can make a 5'x5' tank work. I'll be engaging an architect and will bring the 5x5 idea up, but the layout I put together makes a perfect spot for a walk-around 300.

I don't know what any of this means but if you get the house that'd be either the first or second most exciting thing to happen to me this week :)
