Rock covered in tons of cyano

    You didn't have to write an entire explanation... Didn't you read a previous post? I got this rock covered in cyano from the LFS... and i do use ro/di water

    Use a tooth brush! Worked for me! :) If it gets too serious, get a BRS GFO Reactor! That will do the job nicely! :)

    I'll try that; only problem is that I don't wanna stress out my camel shrimp.

    do a small water change. Save the water you drain from the tank in a bucket. Remove the rock and scrub in the bucket of tank water. Replace the rock.

    This wont mess with the "live" part of the rock but will remove the cyano.

    Well I'm using a toothbrush but it's stuck on there pretty badly... can't i just put it in the microwave or something?

    LOL, I missed saints fan 420s comment. It sounded like you were saying it got covered in cyano... I'm happy not to explain why the toothbrush isn't working though :p

    I'll give you a hint, cyano doesn't stick well to anything ;)
