Thank you very much! I exacted a little 'insider' revenge on my better half...
Since she was going to Sioux Falls anyhow I asked her to go to Hyvee and buy me 2 medium deli shrimp! LOL If you've ever asked your seafood counter person for just 1 or two shrimp you'll understand the revenge part. :devil2::laughing0

Apparently I made a mistake and panicked. He was moving around fine when I left the house at 5. :)
    I'm sorry I wasted everyone's time :p It's embarrassing for me.

I'm with you on the stress level of getting new critters especially the pricier ones, you hope they're gonna make it, for it's sake and for your pocketbook.

Hope he gets more active for you and quits playing dead so much.

So I either need to read a ton more or hope someone with Wennerae experience will give me a hand..

Could it be possible Bucky molted just 3 days into his new home? Don't they eat thier molt? How long before they become active again?

The reason for the questions is that when I got home last night he was a couple inches out of his den and investigating. So I chopped a piece of deli shrimp and put it on a stick. I was able to get him to come completey away from the rock but he'd go right back to it when he realized he was in the open. So I just ended up letting him stay behind the rock and gave him the piece there. I threw a couple slivers of shrimp into the tank for the hermits. One drifted down to the front of the rock where Bucky found and ate it so I see he's increased the size of his dish-out den to nearly the size of the rock it's under.
This morning he was out but scrammed when he saw me.
All of this activity has me thinking maybe he did molt or maybe he was just so stressed he was very inactive for half a day.
    I'm confused by it all.

Are you saying he is super active right now? Like moving stuff all over? Digging like a dog in the yard?

I think its safe to say he just had a stressful molt, since he didn't have a burrow or den he was comfortable in it was probably a very stressful molt... are his missing appendages back? This would ikndicate a molt for sure...

.... and him bein shy to come out even for food indicates to me that he had molted recently, my Wennerae does that, but he also builds himself in every time he molts so nothing can get him lol I was freakin out the first time...
