Looks like Rio is getting on board the prop revolution with aquarium pumps. Introducing the SEIO PROP Super Flow Pump with magnet mount, ceramic shaft and PROP Impeller Rotor. CHeck out the dual output Polario pumps too with single or dual outputs and wave timer.

The polarios arent cheap, around 300 bucks. But they have a contoller for each, and let you turn either 1 of the pumps on or off, or have both on and pump alot of water. a nice unit if you dont want to or three pumps in your tank but want a spread flow.

The 530 gets only about 500 gph, whereas the polario gets about 10000gph and lternates to make waves. It comes with adapters so you can use it in a closed loop. Someone on another forum that also ad a thread on these when i was searching inline for info joked the someone at TAAM likes their security cameras too much, lol. Pricewise, im stcking to hydors and maxis.

I really cant tell how loud they are, but supposedly the Seio's are quiet and the Polarios are just a tad louder. But i lov its ability to go on a closed loop :cheesy: I wish i had one! imagine he fow in my 55g!lol

Sounds promising, but with limited funds, especially close to the holidays...so I will be sticking with the powerheads that I am currently using.
Good to keep in mind in the back of my head though!
