I bought this carpet ...(anemone...?) ...yesterday, which came on a nice piece of LR. Tonight I found a small astapia (?) stalk. (I think Ive seen it called astapia on this site). Ive been searching online for an hour and can't find "astapia", or anything remotely close. If my assumption is correct, I need to remove it. If this the case, whats the best way to remove it?

Lemon juice and a syringe with the powerheads off. I use joes juice personally works great. People also use kalk and some other things. I'm sure you can find loads of info now that you know its called aiptasia and not astapia lol. Good Luck

i have used plain old lemon juice myself with %100 effectivness...1 dose with a syrnge and get it right in the mouth down the stem and inject, it will shrivel and die almost before your eyes. careful how much lemon juice you use it can affect your water..
