    I measured ~500 PAR right under the surface (where my chaeto floats) with the light about 12" above. 300 PAR 6" from the center about 1" underwater. If you figure that more PAR = more or better chaeto growth, which may or may not be true depending on your system, then these bulbs put out some growing power.
