Has anyone uses this? Or something comparable?

Not exactly cheap for a fuge light, wonder if it's worth it.

    Thanks.

I'm very curious as well. I did a ton of reading in the ATS threads on here and else were and according to many, many folks - the people who have experienced the best growth with LEDs, using Algae Turf Scrubbers, have used the 660nm, 460nm in a 5:1 or 6:1 ratio.

I've very interested in this as well since I've been throwing around the idea of making an ATS when I'm finished with my sump!

Unforunately there are so many other variables that its hard to verify that the difference is the LED choice.

No doubt sir, no doubt. Lots of system variables involved which punch holes into results.

It is very likely that many LED variables will be altered in the coming years such as recommendation of the spectrum and ratios, lenses or diffusers, intensity, hours, flowrate, "canvas" size, upflow vs waterfall...

Member Floyd R Turbo has gathered significant real world data from others members from multiple sites to where he as a great starting point for making really effective ATScrubbers with what is currently known.

However, I think we can agree that we need to start experimenting somewhere to begin compiling data if we are to expect improved results.

From what I've read so far, I plan to use the ReefBreeders fuge light to light one side of a waterfall style scrubber when I get a chance to build one.
If I have good success, then the next step would be to move to a 2 sided custom led arrangement on a larger "dream" tank. I assume the recommended LED variables will be different by then as more folks will have offered input on their similar systems at that point...
