Maybe the pic is generous. It's a 150W 14K bulb. Not terribly bright, but plenty to sustain corals I think. :)

    Yeah, it's completely silent.

As for cycling, I think I've skipped that part by putting a fair amount of cured LR in the tank. Then I added the cardinal. If my beliefs are correct, it's an established tank AFAIK.

    We'll see. :)

    Yes, Steve. That's the plan.

It's an SPS Blue Life 14K.

Looks great. I really don't know why more people do not use these overflows. I mean the Bean is custom, but the Herbie can be done with any reef tank. One of the best things I ever did for my tank.

I always figured if I did it my self I would just go without the emergency overflow. Even if you didn't want to call it a Bean, then a custom Herbie. Just two large overflows one submerged and one open channel. Much better tuning than a regular Herbie. I can't possibly conceive of a situation where you would need all three.

The tank looks great and as all your stuff looks very professional. I was doing pretty good at no reefing until my realtor... guy from the local club... came over to do a open house. Would up talking reefs for two hours and here I am again.

Howdy, all. I've been a bit absent, as I landed a gig in a nuclear power plant in Central Florida, which has necessitated living away from home for a couple of months, but I'm home today to see the wife and get some laundry done.

Here are a few pics. I've moved the elegance, a small patch of paly's, a bubble and some yellow polyp from my 90 over to this tank. They seem to be liking their new digs.

    Enjoy!

That really is a nice elegance with the pink tips. Healthy looking bubble too, but the elegance coloration is great.
