This came attached to my featherduster and I'm not too sure what it is exactly. So for now I'm calling it "red stick algae". Anyone know what it REALLY is?

Looks like red grape macro but I'm the new kid, lol. You'll want to wait for more answers.

Looks like Red Grape Kelp, Botryocladia sp. Needs moderate to high light and good water quality. It will be eaten by herbevor fish, they LOVE it. I would keep it, its a good macro to have in your display as long as it survives. Supplement with Calcium, Trace Elements, and as with any macro Iron.

now that I get to looking at it, it does have little "grapes" attached to it...but both of those haven't exactly matched the google pictures lol It doesn't really have base..it's just sort of there!

The guys at my LFS said he had a yellow tang in the tank for a while and it ate nearly all of it within a few days. But after the "great ich attack of '09" it's just corals in my tank for now! I'm glad i can keep it..it makes a nice addition!

Macros are a great addition to any tank, I am surprized they are not more popular in reef keeping.

I don't think that's it...What you mentioned has more of a leafy appearance..mine just looks like a stick with little grapes on it..
