    i have a very small spot of it.i thought it was one of my bright mushrooms but closer inspection proved its just a coating on my rock of some kind.just the size of a dime and not getting much bigger.

    In my case they are expanding! I've got at least 3 8" rocks, all covered with red fluorescent algae...

    Hey ! Guru! Got answer! You were right! These were purple coraline algae that were dying because of RO/DI water dip I did to the rock! Karma from me!

    glad to hear it dude, getting it back to life shouldnt be a problem with the spores in the water and the correct lighting.
