my dad just called me with a question.
he has a lemonpeel or yellow pigmy angelfish. He called me today to ask about a single red dot on the side of this fish...

I told him it was probably a bruise but wanted to check if there is some type of parasite or disease that produces red dots?

    his nitrate is around 30ppm
    all others are 0
    temp is 78
    pH 8.2

where is the spot? Some times when the fish are caught they pin their bladder it's easier to keep them in the net or some such nonsense, i've seen it before and will not buy from those stores. There are some parisites but the ones I know of are black, like with tangs.
