Hello Chaps! Could somebody help with identification (please see the attached file) of this stranger. It has got red basis(body) and tine white tentacles with small white drop like spheres at the ends.

    What is that ....?!

    Cheers,

    Hard to tell from pic...

Sounds either like small feather dusters which are great to have...but could as easily be aptasia or mangano anemones which are not.

Can you try to get a more clear picture?

Kinda cute...really don't know. Small things with tentacles would make me nervous.

You won't really know if you have a problem or not until they do/do not spread around tank.

    Someone else here may know.

Just a small update... This funny looking anemone opens at night and grows very quickly ! I will try to get some decent night shots of it and post them ASAP. I'm pretty exited... At least doesn't look like apitasia ::)

    Just a small update:

I've posted additional pictures of a fancy hitchhiker:

    Close-up

    Zoom out

It has expanded, now approx. 1" in diameter. It prefers low-light conditions, apparently likes live brine shrimp. There are 5 specimens fond on the same piece of LR. Any ideas what is it ?! Any suggestion is welcome!
