No, you can't cut only a half inch off the glass. I tried calling all day to different glass shops, no one would touch it. A new sheet of glass is only Luke $100

this is going to be an awesome thread to watch!

cant say that i have ad much hands on experience with rebuilding a tank. but have done a lot of research. really the MOST important thing is to completely clean all old silicone from the surface. there will be a residue that you cannot see of hardly feel. you will most likely need to chemically wipe it clean.

also. on a build this size a few extra hands will be beneficial for sure. best of luck to you!
i cant wait to see it full!

Well I ordered my led drivers today. I decided to go with (2) lm3464a. Each has 4 channels that can run up to 27 LEDs on each channel! I will be able to run 216 LEDs!

It will be clean...we hope LOL

Having a really hard time trying to find drivers (nevermind that he ordered drivers already) that will run what we/he wants.

How would we run 90 3w LED's @ 750mA with 30 LED's per driver? Seems like no one makes a driver that runs an medium number of LED's 12-13 or 80 LED's. I would like to find something to run 30 LED's on one dimmable driver. Even if it's a DIY driver. Any ideas out there? Maybe I need to start a thread in the LED section of the forums?

How about this from Inventronics? It's dimmable, 36~60 LEDs, runs at 700mA.
