    I wouldnt but then again I wouldn't have glass canopies. but its really easy, can you post a pic of your canopy?
    I'm sure it would be easy enough

    You should be able to mount them to your canopy. Just turn them down about as low as they can go. Also order 90 or 120 degree optics.

    Currently with the tank I plan to convert to saltwater I'm using a plastic canopy, but I have a glass canopy from my previous saltwater aquariums I was planning to use - This was the overhang I was referring to -

    glass canopy? I'm confused

    But no problems hanging them from that situation, the hanging equipment is adjustable! lol, relax and order them, you're fine, you may need to go get extra picture hanging wire, but that will cost about $5

    Get a real canopy and hang them inside! Here is my tank and canopy:

    The canopy is 8" tall.

    I can attest to the reef breeders. My corals have exploded in growth and I only have them at about 30% output ATM. I planned on buying a second unit for my 55 gallon tank when I set it up.

    I definitely plan to buy two reef breeders within the next month, still have a lot of planning before the purchase. Thanks for the help everyone!
