:bawling: So i have had my first death all was fine untill he stopped eating monday. oh well i guess its all part of the game. my hippo just got over ick, but i have a hunch that the butterfly had an internal paracite of some sort to begin with. everyone else is fine and water conditions are good. i think i am going to wait and see how everyone else does.

If you suspect that the fish had an internal infection I would treat the remaining inhabitants with a broad-spectrum antibiotic to be safe. Or least get one and have it on hand.

If anyone gets cloudy eyes or begins to scratch treat the tank right away. I suggest Maracyn II w/ B-complex

Sorry to hear about your butterfly.

Sorry for your loss, as for treating I would just watch the other fish, if they show any signs then treat. I don't like to jump to fast to treating if its not needed. That's just me though.
