    I have a proclear 200 impact protein skimmer and the noise got to be a bit on the annoying side. Other than that it works great. I made a silencer for the air intake out of a 35MM film canister filled with cotton. I placed an extension on the air intake and the other end into the film canister through the lid. The only other thing was a second hole had to be placed in the lid for it to work properly. All I hear is the cooling fan on the halide lights. Something small but thought I'd share.
