    That was not moss, that was more than likely algae and it will spread through your tasnk like the great plague. If its fuzzy just pull it right off. Hoppfully it will comeoff. Generally there is nothing insaltwater that resembles moss that is good for your tank.

    So when I buy live rock I want it to just look like base rock?
