Might want to consider putting down some sort of sealer on your inside bottom plywood and a bead of silicon (GE I window & door) around the inside on the bottom, just so if and when you drip or leak the water doesn't go down under the stand.

Yeah I learned the hard way with my 29. I didn't do it and when I moved, stained the tank picked up the stand and it was molded and funky underneath. Plus it probably just plain isn't healthy to have in your home. Lol

If you look back at page 3 of this thread you will see I not only caulked the bottom seam of my stand but I also sealed and epoxy painted the entire stand before adding the oak skin. A couple times I had a near flood with my old ebay calcium reactor and once when my ATO line flopped out of the sump. The stand contained every drop and nothing was on my tile floor. It is also easy to clean up inside with a damp rag once it is sealed,

Nice work, you may want to add a piece of ply in the back for lateral stability. You can cut a large window but the frame will add a lot of strength. With close to 900 pounds sitting on top it doesn't take much of a push from the side to turn things ugly.

I agree with grog. I like tha back being open but I glue and clamped a couple smaller peices for this reason.
