My equipment is in the closet behind the tank so I did mine with out doors. The only thing I don't like is that I stained it red.

I used 1/4" oak plywood and solid oak trim pieces. The doors are stain it yourself doors ordered from Home Depot or Lowes and took about a week to get but well worth it.

Well I did a little work today, got a new top put on the stand as well as the sides put on with glue and finishing nails, I haven't done the front skin yet or trimming.
Here's what it looks like so far
    Top is 1/2inch birch
Sides will all be skinned in 1/4inch oak

I was thinking of getting a 4ft by 4ft piece for the front so there is no seam, but the only one they have at lowes is super warped, would getting two 2ft by 4fts and having a seam down the middle make it look bad?

I hid my seam relatively well. Try HD or another lumberyard if you want though. I had to have a seem because its over 6 feet and I wanted vertical grain.

Did some more work, added the front skin and some trim to the sides, also trimmed the top, now just need to paint the inside, trim the bottom, and add the doors
