In my experience this stuff is bullet-proof.YouTube - Xenia Coral Fragging
Leftover pieces after cutting will sprout new growth. If you watch video you'll see other methods used for attaching frags after they have been cut. If you decide to cut it send me a private message and I'll help you with the variuos methods of attaching.

Just be aware that every clipping that fall will become a colony thats how we frag all soft corals from these to Colts

Just to prove the resilience of this coral. This is the left-over mess after cutting the stalk last week. Notice the warts on the left-overs. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress of the growth.

    sweet you guys!!!!!!!!! very nice!

Mission I've got a Toro 44" 14hp(Kohler) commercial mower if you need, but I'm sure you can do that with some hedge trimmers, or even a good landscaper can do it with a weed eater :biglaugh:

Great thread Mission, I didnt get to it until now. I think my xenias need a trim too, there all over the place. Maybe if some 3reefers want some I could ship it at they're expense.

Man, i know I dont' want to frag ours. They have been splitting at a rate of about 2 a day for the past few weeks. They have nearly covered the top of our overflow and we have a "bunch" that is about 18" long and about 10 " around....
