    Yup,it will release polyps to start a new colony elsewhere also.

    I kept mine on the disc. Brand new to this and not confident enough to remove them. Mine have grown a ton in the 3 weeks I've had them. I see new poylps everyday. I love this piece of coral! What do you mean it will release polyps?
