Anyone ever heard of Pukani LR? The LFS guy said it's lighter than regular live rock. I'm thinking lighter may mean more porus wich means more surface area for the good things to grow.

    What do you think.

from my understanding its basically the same thing, what they do is order a bunch of rock and rent an area of ocean floor and dump the dry rock and leave it for a while and all the bacteria and lil critters and stuff make the rock live

heres a good video explaining it:

advantage: it may be free of nuisance pests, better for the environment(?).
disadvantage: might not have as much diversity of living creatures as live rock that is collected from the ocean.
