did you replace the impeller Sandy sent and does it works?

 

Didnt get it yet. Hopefully it does the trick.

I tried syphoning air out of the tube today, and it didnt help anything. Seems it is either the impeller or the motor, unless anyone else has any other suggestions.

 

I received and installed the new impeller today, and now all I am getting is a vibration from the pump. The new impeller came with a small black rounded piece that didnt come off of the old impeller. I looked inside the motor, and it looks like that small rubber peice is stuck inside the motor. What is the next step?

This is starting to get frustrating!

 

OK, redid the impeller by taking the rubber piece off and it seems to be fine now. How far up should the water be on the neck of the body of the skimmer? I dont want to burn it out if it is running too low.

How long does this need to break in before I can change the water level?
