Ok. I was confused as well. Thats what I thought just going by the pictures but then I wasn't sure how Matt could have left off Koralia, thats the most common one I have seen.

In that case I have one, a k4.

Yes. They're both owned by Central Garden and Pet, along with Kent Marine, Coralife, and Tropical Fish Hobbyist Magazine.

When used with a eco mod or sure flow mod, then they do compete.

The biggest issue I have is that 1 of my mj1200 eco mod or sure flow kits vibrates and makes a loud hum. The other one does not make a sound. I have tried 2 new mj1200's, and 2 different brands (the eco mod and the sure flow) and all combinations make the noise . It's baffling.

If my tank walls where I mount the pumps were not over 3?4" thick, I would just mount a korallia or other pump there. Only the $$$ pumps can go through that thickness of tank side. I use a sure grip 100 magnet, and that gets the job done. Sure grip 50's can't cut it.

I am at the point where I am going to take a sicce or K evo and epoxy some sort of bracket so I can use the suregrip100 to hold it up.

I tried all the MJ mods too and never found one I liked. They do put out a good amount of flow but are bulky, mounts are sort of cobbled up and all vibrated no matter what prop I tried.
