Problem with seachem nitrate test kit

    So I purchased a seachem kit after hearing so much bad stuff about API. I tested the reference and I got maybe .2 same as my water, did the test over 7 times and got the same results. Contacted the company and they said they were having issues with this test. Am I the only one thats ever had a issue with them?
    I don't wanna buy another test kit again but if I do what company? I like that seachem gives you something to compare with.
