Problem with my bouton polyps

    Hi,

    I have a 10lb rock full of polyps that was very nice... Large polyps all over the rock...  Now They are small and close most of the time....

    My water is ok my readings are nice...

    what can be the problem...???

    OH I have 12 hours of lights in this 10 hours of MH...  Can this be my problem...  The polyps are half way in my 65...

    What kind of polyps are we talking about here? Do anything different in the tank lately?

    hi one thing i would check for are aipistasia which are little brown anenomes just a thought or have you used any phosphate pads or new carbon ??? just sum ideas i just love button polyps they are very cool i used to feed mine with frozen foods or sumtimes flake food if you feed them a few times a week they will grow everywhere good luck

    Can you post a picture of what the polyps look like now? Do they have a white coating or fungus growing on them? Have you tried moving them to a lower light area of the tank?

    Try moving them lower down in the tank,  May be getting too much light.  I had that problem with similar polyps.  What are your nitrate, pH, SG and calcium readings.  Could also be a water flow problem, too much or too little. Try moving to a different area of the tank.
