    It's really hard sometimes, particularly with PH's mounted with suction cups, as soon as you get them just right the buggers move :)

    Over here you can get really cheap timers that have a dial. There are a number of holes around than dial that you can insert some small pins. These pins determine the on/off times for whatever is plugged into them. I use these a lot as they are really cheap and can be used in lots of imaginative ways.
