Hi everyone. I just thought that I'd post one of the power centers that I made. It uses two Intermatic SS8C timers which contol my halides and my PC's. They can be set to turn on at dawn and off at dusk, depending on where you are in the United States (north, central, south) and they automatically adjust for seasons. I'm not using that feature though because I like my tank on at night when I'm at home. Maybe in the summer when the sun is up later. :)

That's not a bad idea at all. Were you able to get the plastic box at home depot as well? I know the timers cost a pretty penny.

The boxes and 14/3 powercord and cord-grip I got from an online electronics supply house. I used a CNC type machine to cut the holes (there's one large rectangle and 16 through holes in the cover) and then most of the rest I got at Home Depot. The wiring is pretty easy, the timer has 3 wires on it (one I don't even use, it has to do with 3-way lighting) and they just switch the 'hot' side of the outlet. I wired these up so that the timer controls the outlet 'pair' next adjacent to the timer, but I've done some custom stuff for people too.

I lik the idea it beats having all these power strips and big old dial timers under the tank. Gives it that clean look and its all digital that is real cool.

Thanks for the props guys. :) I make a few different configurations of them, so if anyone is looking for one, drop me a line.
