I'm running one over my 38, and it's great. It's the same model as a reefbreeders photon 16, and it's been supporting all my corals. Great light, and I really like the built in programmer. It's kind of a pain to program in half hour increments, but the cost savings over some of the more high end units makes it a terrific option

While it's not the same seller I got mine from,

I'd say go for it, looks to be the same light as mine overall.

    I've currently got mine at
    Bluer channel- 85%
    Whiter Channel - 37.5%

I've even got a green pocillipora Asexual reproduction/spawning frag 1" off the bottom between 2 of my lights, and even that's growing excellent!

These lights kick A$$! mcoral has never seen a ramping up, ramping down light source- and never will.

My coral grows like gangbusters with only light, and whatevers in the water column, I don't 'feed' my corals otherwise.
The growth with these 'non contrller' lights is off the charts!

OH you should be happy with your SCA skimmer also!

I'm still using mine, and will use it on my 180 in a few months also.

I love the LED just can't afford would need two as these fixtures are only 15 or 20in, think I will have to buy the 4 bulb t-5 I have been looking at its only 100 and will go the full 48in.

I hate to be putting up a post like this but my first unit that I purchased about the same time this thread started is showing signs of failure. Almost every morning when the lights go on, they start to flicker and then shut off and about 10 min later fire up again and work fine. I'm hoping maybe a loose solder joint in there that would fix it that heat damaged. Otherwise they are still great fixtures. Just hoping I bought a lemon and all you guys using it as well have good models. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issues as me.
