I recently purchase some cyclop-eeze for my tank. It is the frozen red stuff, thaws to very small bits.

I had previously bought some in the red package, bar in shape. The stuff i just bought is in a clear 5"x7" slab about a 1/2" thick.

I have noticed that the colony polyp corals close up when i feed this new stuff. They do not stay closed long (1 or 2 minutes) but it is definately related to feeding this stuff.

Anyone know why they would do that?

Do you think they are just pulling in the food or do they not like it?

if it food goes in the mouth, they are eating what they catch.

its hard to eat with you mouth open underwater
