yes they are a very dangerous snail, many people see these things as just a buitiful snail at the beach and have no clue as to the dangers that lie inside,

...And now I have one buried in my sand... What would you guys do? I REALLY wouldn't want to kill it. If I transfer it to my sump, it would die anyways of starvation... Taking it back to the ocean where I collected him, no more vacation time! ... damn.

i dont really know, if it was me..once i found it..i'd chuck it..inhumane or not..not safe..i'd chuck it..be careful taking things out of the ocean as i have read with pollutants and bad hitchikers..unless u get it from further away from the shore as u can. i wouldnt consider taking it...just to be safe IMO.. sump maybe an option other than killing it..i dont know much about them.other than they eat fish..not sure if its worth buying feeders and doin that..or just chuck it.

Just read that there have been over 30 cases of people dying from a cone snail's sting. I believe I'll have to chuck it. Feel bad though.
