I've noticed these pods floating around the tank in the middle of the night. I just noticed that many are attached to the rear glass. What are they and should I wipe them out? Thanks.[IMG][IMG]

No,don't wipe em out, what I see on the glass is sponge, both sponge and pods are beneficial and harmless, sponges are filter feeders and pods are algae/detritus feeders.Pods look like little bugs, flea like, running around.

    bad choice of words

Thanks for the reply. I thought they were probably sponges but wanted to be sure.

I called them "pods" not thinking of copepods or amphipods. I was thinking more of the literal capsule-like definition. They float around the tank looking like little translucent eggs with legs/spikes all over them.
