I've decided to start a pod farm after reading pred's thread on doing so. I am using a bucket that is about 4 gallons and using filter pads that i never used from when my tank was a freshwater. I have the airstone running, but i have noticed it is creating so many bubbles that its foaming at the top!

My only question is lighting for it, do they need any light, i am keeping them in my garage which is dark for most of the day.

filter pads is a cool idea.

i tend to pile up the pads, etc. over the area of the bubbles to kind of mitigate that and the salt creep the popping causes.

i keep mine in a closet. no light for them. no problem.
