Pod eggs? What are they?

Ive seen these on almost every reef ive setup (work and home) and still cant fig out what they are. The almost look like tiny transluscent micro brittle stars, I ususally see them all along the glass, they are tiny, about .5mm-1mm. After there gone i always see an explosion of pods. So i was wondering if anyone else has seen these and made the same correlation? Hers a pic, i drew, they are most certainly not micro brittle stars or of any relation to them.

I always see critters like that when I have copepods on the glass. Just figured they were more 'grown-up' versions of the pods I had...
