    The picture you showed us looks to me like and alveopora with its polyps not extened :)

    that thing is the yellow gonio..very common around here...like amcarig said it is doomed!

    I'd throw it out before it affects your water quality. I'm almost positive that if you take it out and smell it, it will smell stinky (or start to). Avoid that coral at all cost.

    Careful, someone on this thread gave me negative karma for incorrectly identifying that coral as a goni. Oh well, what can you do. :)
