Sad part is all that trash didnt blow there, it was put there, and the people there could care less to clean it.

 

OMG and I thought that we had the dirtiest water ways in Trinidad. I guess I was wrong.
That's horrible.

I understand being upset but slamming on these people is misguided. I removed your thought there.

I grew up in an affluent white suburb of Chicago and have had it pretty easy really, but if I were impoverished like these people, who knows what I would do. They are just trying to survive. Someone needs to lead and show them another way that does not destroy their surroundings and actually improves their lives. No easy task at that. It's a bit complicated.

 

+1 on matts comment. if i were trying to survive, when finding food DAILY was a challenge I for one would honestly not care about a polluted river. but sitting here in my air conditioned apartment, on my comfy couch, watching cable tv with a bowl of icecream chatting with people over wireless internet.......yeah....im enraged.
oh, btw,....theres a guy swimming in the river.

And to think, I'm scolding people on the beach for spitting out their gum in the sand. I can only imagine the effects of that toilet water on the ocean.
