    Gross :) I'm not sure that lps corals slime the same way that sps do?

    Either way, fletch, try blowing the "stuff" off with a turkey baster first before you start picking at it. If you have to pick at it, you can do it underwater.

    Nope it won't blow off I pushed on it with the turkey baster and it is rubbery

    So do you think I should take this
    (RUBBERY ) / spongy
    growth off the coral?
    Is there any chance that it is new growth? :-/

    I don't think that's likely but you never know. Leave it be if it's not bothering you but keep an eye on it and make sure that it doesn't start to grow on the polyps. :)
