So I've been saying this last hatch is large... well I tried to get a count tonight here are a couple of pics:

    And then counting:

I got to about 240 and that's a shot of 3/4 of the tank and there where at least another 100 on the sides.

Funny part is my wife walked in and told me to stop counting and to feed them because the water was too light and they needed rotifers!

I'm going to make a (fish) breeder out of her yet!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
That is a lot of fry Pickle.

Curious why do the fry appear as pink dots in the second image?

Do you allow a certain amount of algae growth in the fry tanks and how did using 100% fresh SW work out?

I wish that I could say there was a special fry finding filter on my camera - but I took the first picture into MS Paint and used the brush tool to mark the fry that I could find / count - otherwise it's hard to get an accurate number.

It's unavoidable - the rotifers and phyto are going to make the tank walls and bottom very green and fast - I don't start pulling any water until the Fry are 4 DPH and by that time a good amount of green has already started to build. I try to remove as much as I can starting on day 4 and each change after.

So far so good. This is my best hatch to date!

    Great hatch for sure!

I noticed you too have some of the Rotigrow Plus settle onto the bottom... if I could change one thing about it (besides make it about 50% cheaper ;), I would try to figure out how to make it stay suspended in the water better. Yeah, you can stir the rotifer cultures, but you can't really stir a fry tank especially when you have 300+ babies in there!! :)

The stuff on the bottom is mostly algae - I add the rotigrow plus right to the part where my bubbles are coming up and it the bubbles spread it out pretty well.
