    They are as rewarding as a reef. A little less work though but the same concept. Good water quality, care and dosing essential elements. Plus you have a comparable amount of choices for stocking.

    Very cool, Out of everything I've done in the aquatic hobby, I never tried a planted tank.

    I have done planted tanks for about 5 years. Just need to learn what to do to make everyone happy.

    I would consider doing a planted tank, but there aren't any good LFS that carry a good line of plants around here. There are several for reef tanks, but the closest one with a good planted section is 200 miles away.

    I am in the same boat. I ordered mine from aquariumplants.com, Aquabotanic.com and azgardens.com. I use Seachem products for supplementation and CO2 and got my substrate from aquariumplants.com.
