phosphate reactor?

    I have a magnum 350 filter that came with my 55 gallon i bought used. I was wondering if i could just fill the medium chamber with phosban and use this as a phosphate reactor?

    im not sure that you will get the correct amount of water flowing through the media for it to be worth it.

    If you did you would have to allow it space to move freely instead of packin it to the top in order to get good flow through it but it should work fine.
