    Thanks Steve,
    One last question,
When using GFO, how long to wait till a fall in PO4 is noticed?

    Hi Siddique
IME it can be very quick , if you have low levels they can zero out very quickly even when you use them in a cannister - they are even more efficient in a reactor

Iron Oxide is the better product of the two types as the Iron will never allow the bound up PO4 to be released one bound up Unlike the Aluminum oxide will do.
As for flow rates through the reactor with the Iron you just want enough water flow to keep it in suspension like a little wavy look to the surface of it. To much pounding and it will become broken down to a rust much in your system and same for the Phosguard also It can be ran with much stronger flows but there is no need . It will collect the PO4 from it just as well in a slow flow as it will a fast flow .
Long the water dwells with in the chamber the long there is contact . But if you run it fast there is less contact and dwell time but more volume . half dozen of one and 6 of the other I prefer the slow flows for all my reactors and refugiums . And the phosguard will reach a point of it beating itself up in to little mini balls also
