Well, I got myself a phosphate test and I find out I am at 0.5ppm. I purchased PhosBan but this stuff is soo delicate, that it mashes really easily. My question is for those that use this without the reactor and use it with media, how do you rinse this thing being so delicate? It keeps making the water brown. It says that it's harmful to fish, so please someone shine some light on this thread. :tongue4:

Rickzter you can put it in a micron bag with a zip tie.

Yeah, got a media bag with the phosban. I rinsed it like a hundred times yesterday and still kept making the water brown, anyone know if I can leave in water sitting there and for how long?

You need to pack it in the bag good and tight so the granules will not move and grind themselves down

yah, packed it up quite snuggily and have it submerged in a cup with water. Planning to put it in my sump, shouldn't be that bad.
