The low range testers units are integers. The normal one measures in decimals, so this was not a low range tester test (or the guy did the ppm conversion and that's the number being reported). 0.04 is the high end of perfect, so it's great, but keep an eye out.

I keep telling people this as a precaution. Hannah phodphate tests work best when you follow the directions precisely. When they say mix for two minutes, they mean the full 120 seconds.

I switched to the low range six months ago. I like it. If you make sure to get all the reagent in the cuvette, mix for the full two minutes and keep everything clean it's very accurate and precise.

Oh, so what you're saying is, it could have also been 0.000!

    Yes Todd or 0.08.

The other thing with Hannah, use a 10mm syringe to fill it. Do not trust the ones with white lines. They are not nearly as precise.

As for the 2 min, I agree but be careful if you go over 2 min the unit shuts off.

Finally, make sure there are no micro bubbles on the sides of the vial

Which unit? And do you mean 0.04 or 0.004?

    That's for the standard 713.
The 736 is a lot more accurate... Which is what was used here.

He said his friend measured phosphate and then converted to phosphorous. The 713 measures phosphate, the 736 phosphorous.
